I have been unsuccessful in mapping a 2D textured face onto a poser model in Poser. I have used a number of tutorials to help but to no avail! Please someone tell me were have I went wrong. 1. I import texture maps of causal or business female from poser 3 or 4 textural maps into photoshop. 2. I cut and paste from a digital picture the face of a person onto the texture map of the poser file or tmplate. I place the new crop picture directly over the face of the poser file. 3. Then I combine and flaten the layers, export the file to a tif. 4. I then import the file into Poser 3or4 by way of the materials menu. I check apply texture to all body parts. 5. Then render the file. What I find, is that the texture file simply darkens the model only and nothing else changes. The map on some ocassion seems to large, while other times it may place the face of the map on the side of the model while other times nothing at all. I don't change the size of the map nor do I move it. What could be wrong? What I'm I not doing? Could the import of Zoygote models or mimic affect poser 3 or 4? Thanks for any help, I've been at this for months! Exec

i really don't know what the problem is with your technique, it seems it would work ... but i have a suggestion or 3... try setting your material color to white sometimes this is all that's needed, make sure your ambient color is true black sometimes blue or green can appear black ... and finally the default posette head mesh will not fit most faces, the proportions are usually all wrong, to get an accurate representation you may have to morph the mesh to make features line up ... good luck
Y'all have a great day.

exec- I suspect your problem is that either the templates are wrong or for some other reason your are mapping to a different map that what is really used - try making your own template in UVMapper from the actual object file in /geometries. I just noticed the cas women is mapped true planar, for example, unlike any proper P4 figure I seen.
