I looked thru all my fonts and didn't see anything resembling it. I get my fonts from newsgroups, alt.binaries.fonts and alt.binaries.font flood. You might post the pic at one of those. someone will surely come up withy something close, if not exact.

I do not have access to those, I tried searching for news froups 1st. I have corel 10, mx studio, xp office, myfonts.com and none have anything even sililar, I am beginning to think that it is custom...although I could swear I have seen that A before.

Not sure if it is custom or not. If it's not custom it could be a combination of fonts. The S and the E seem to be different than other letters. Another good place for fonts is Fonts O'Plenty.

I am getting quite frustrated over this. I KNOW that A from somewhere. Something with an egyptian ring. Or something. I guess I really have to go througt my 3500 fonts... Because I think I have it somewhere... sighs

It is getting strange. On my Mac I do have a font called Romic LightItalic that looks just like your font in Suitcase (font management prog). But when I activate it in Illustrator, it looks different... Strange. Maybe the name Romic is a start... I will look further...

RHaseltine posted Wed, 13 August 2003 at 3:44 PM

Have you tried scrolling to the end of the Illustrator font list, to see if it has a separate entry for the light italic version there? On Windows at least AI sometimes does strange things to the font listings.

Hoofdcommissaris posted Wed, 13 August 2003 at 4:21 PM

I did look at the fonts with names that contain characters that would probably take down the entire internet if I type them here... But Romic LightItalic was there. And it looked, well, like the rest of the Romic font, but then italic. Strange. Maybe somebody cut and pasted a screenshot of this phenomena and exactly that resulted in the strange appearance? Mmmm. Dunno. I have seen the word 'Solarice' some 3000 times right now. I am afraid I have to rest this case...

3936 holy cow impressive, are they all installed or on a disc? I prob have about 2000 on my corel and studio mx cds but onlu about 500 are installed. I now have a name to search them for that is definatly a start...I have traced it in Corel, but I would like the font to work with LOL/

I have 'em all on my computer. Can't miss them, being a graphic designer. The screenshot you see is of the program Suitcase that helps to organize/activate them. So if I need a simple times I do not have to scroll through all 3936 of them in every app. I like fonts.

Corel has something similar "Bitstream Font Navigator" although not quite as advanced as that, it lets you view fonts, and install and uninstall from there ( I am assuming that Suitcase has the same feature) Is that a Mac only program?

No, it is cross-platform. Check the link.

I use AMP Font Viewer, a nice little freeware proggie that shows me large samples of all the fonts in a way I like a lot.

Hello everyone. First time poster to the Photoshop forum. I searched a few places on the web and came up with this:

Herculanum Font

The above image is the uppercase and lowercase example. Hopefully this is pretty close to what you are looking for.

I just found Herculanum too (now see that it is already present)! It is in my Mac system fonts! That was why it was not between the 3000+ AND that is how it ended up on-screen in a font that probably is broke...

just e-mail 5 fonts a day to me lol
