When I'm making movies I almost always want to save separate images, not AVI's. The bloody dialog box always defaults to AVI and I have to change it every time!! Is there a way to make images, not AVI's, the default selection?

When you get everything set up the way you want - make a movie with settings that you want for default (you can cancel after a frame or two is written) then do Edit General Preferences and Launch to Preferred State. I just did it and every new file, every time I reopened poser5 - the settings were exactly as I had set them

Plus- For each Poser scene (pz3 file), if you save it after rendering it saves the render settings for that scene, including this option.

I'm running v4.03 and these suggestions aren't working. This may be a glitch in Poser4.

It does work in Poser 4. You also have to 'set preferred state'. There was a step missing. This tells Poser that what you currently have is what you want as the preferred state.
