here i have compared hair with different parents... the standard hair with head as parent... and hair with neck as parent...they both have their good and bad points ... i think the neck works better ... what do you think? {pssst: i didnt have any long hair so i just scaled the hair i had on the y axis odviously this isnt the way to make long hair...shhhhh dont tell nobody lets see if anybody chews me up 'cause it dont look right...}

Y'all have a great day.

Woo-hoo - that looks very very impressive JAFO. The neck as parent certainly looks more realistic - I assume that "inherit bends" is on? Paul

(they both have their good and bad points) i retract that statement...i really dont see any good points to having the head as parent :O)

Y'all have a great day.

Y'all have a great day.

Cool, this may be a fairly important discovery - along the lines of Darth's discovery of "gravity". I'm very impressed. Paul

works pretty good with sleveless shirts with chest as parent and short pants {hip}also ... maybe better than conforming... but thats my openion...i could be wrong...been wrong before

Y'all have a great day.

Hey, the neck parent thing looks good! I've always hated the straight movement of hair. Good Job.

Neat idea, thanks for pointing it out PhilC

Head as parent looks better when then bend the neck down in this example. But I suspect it would be the reverse in a hair actually designed to be long. Darth's discovery of 'Gravity'? I missed that one.

Truth has no value without backing by unfounded belief.

both head and neck are bent/twisted in these examples i find that if i need to turn/bend the head say 40 degrees it looks better{to me} if i bend/twist both head and neck an equal amount head/20 neck/20 which is what i did in the above example, the only diference in either example is the parenting nothing else was changed

Y'all have a great day.

Hi Folks! Y'all are doing tremendous things to advance the boundaries of what is possible with low-end 3D graphics and animation software!! Isn't this a great time to be alive?!? Peter (Dr Zik)

arcady: essentialy: put an object way below the ground plane and anything you Point At it will 'hang' from wherever it is. It's cool. Dr Zik: yes, this is in fact a good time to be alive. BTW, Curoius labs has promised a 4.03.
