I couldn't sleep, and some ways to make changes based on some of your suggestions popped in my head so I decided to work on the pic until time to leave for work (2 a.m.). The water was the main problem so I decided to scrap the infinite plane. With the camera angle I'm using (and I like the POV) the bump just wasn't convincing. I created a massive terrain and squashed it flat. There's no bump, just the terrain itself, and I think it's much more convincing and natural looking as water. I also dipped the little guy lower in the water. Excuse the render quality, the final will be much higher res. Better?

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

The pic was great before, but the water makes it excellent.

very very nice job on the water....looks very real....can almost feel it... perhaps, another small terrain just behind the river bank on the fae sidw, nothing huge, just to give some distance to the pic...i read what you wrote about the rolling plains, and i agree.. would love to see some rolling plains through the trees..grins JenC

Wow, I like it alot. great improvement for the water. I often resort to terrains for waves too. I cant see anything else wrong here!! Nice job brholte
