when you want to layer your different scenes that you have rendered and put it all togethr in PSP or whatever... do you only render one scene with a sky do you render your objects on white sky ?????? i need layering tips or blending tips thanks roch222

I'd recommend putting the same sky on all of the layers, that way reflections, transparency etc. work properly.

Not only is it important for reflections, rendering with the exact same sky gives you the exact same lighting conditions too.

but what about layer settings? Im having trouble blending, either one layer dominates or looks washed out etc..

Must be exactly the same lighting, sky settings, and make use of mask rendering.

antevark is right, use the mask rendering... chose the biggest of your object, EG terrain, and do mask rendering and render it... the sky must be the same... or else your going to mess up bigtime (actually i learned that the hard way)
