Hi Everyone, I just got my Poser5 and discovered Renderosity. I purchased several software items to add to my Poser libaries. Unlike the Items I got from Daz, these add ons don't seem to have any sort of executable file for installation. I have unziped the files but don't know how to get them into Poser. Can anyone help. It's simply? a matter of dragging the individual files into their respective folders. APPENDIX B of your manual shows you a diagram of the file structure. Read the part of the manual about adding models to reduce the risk of wiping out existing folders. I hope this helps, Bob

Make sure you read the "read-me" file. Most of them self extract into the CuriousLabs/Poser# file..just make sure you have the boxed checked thats says USE FOLDER NAMES when unzipping. Sometimes files have to be extracted manually. In this case refer to your manual for the file extensions. Since I'm using PPP I don't want to give you the wrong extensions in case they are different. Hope this helps.

On page 354 of your poser book it tells you where all the diff files go in poser.
if its a prop then it goes with the props
if its a figure then it goes with the figures
just follow the book and it will be easy
all texture files go in textures
hope this helps
take care

Thanks all for the tips. I'm still finding it difficult to imagine that I have to copy and paste all of these files into several different directories. One of the problems I'm encountering is that a few of the software readme files include the directories that the files should be placed in, but the directories are for Poser 4 and some of them don't exist of Poser 5. Which leaves me guessing where to put things. I can't imagine that everyone who buys software here has to go through this sort of thing. I must be missing something.

Open up the .zip file.
Hit Extract.
Choose the folder that Poser is installed in. (c:poser for example.)
Make sure the box in the lower left corner is checked: Use Folder Names.)
Hit Extract.
The files will install in their correct folders. All items in the market place and most in free stuff are set up to install correctly. You can be reasonably sure it will install correctly if each item's path starts with Runtime. If not, you need to move things manually. (Or go beat up on the merchant and get them to make correct .zip files.)
Many items will create new folders for ease of use. If there is a specific market place item you're having problems with, you can always go to the Marketplace Support forum as well.
Cheers!

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

Thank you everyone! I was unziping the files with a cheap zip program and they were going no where. I bought Winzip last night and followed the sugestions above. Now everything works perfectly. Thanks so much for the help.
