Hi all, I am trying to update bryce5.net with a new gallery and forum system, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any good free(or very cheap) gallery systems that are easy to install on a site. The problem is, the current gallery system resizes images and they look rather bad and they are too small. Also, the whole system is somehow corrupted and you can only log on in certain areas, and nor from the main page, and this has caused many of the site's regulars to cease posting. I will probably go for the phpBB forum system since I have a few friends who can help me set that up, but any other suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Ah, I noticed I haven't been able to log in on the main page, thus not post :-( Good luck with the new design. Doug

Hmm... I put my first stuff up on bryce5.net - and you're right, the inability to log in and stuff did drive me away - however, it drove me here! Glad to see you're planning to do something about it; I don't have any suggestions about other gallery/forum systems, sorry!

you can still log in, you just to do it from the forum area, which i very inconveinient plus I have no way to direct people there, so it's easier to just redo it.

Hey... I think a good person to talk to about this is Draculaz...if I recall correctly he has dabbled in the past with this, and he has a nice Web site himself running right now. Give him an IM. MD

ugh... I know this; you either have to have and SQL server; which will run a system like this (bondware) and there are others too; very good ones that will run on that. Or you'll need a UNIX box that will run cgi scripts. I don't have either at the moment, - and am trying to pout loudly to the computer wiz here... without any luck so far. ;)

for phpBB2 you need SQL and PHP support. just installed a phpbb board and after some twiquing, it works well.... and there are sooo many premade "skins" to use, or you can design your own... http://goreanempire.fastmanors.com/phpBB2/index.php for a peek at one cool design called chronicals....just redid the logo all else came with the set...
