the heads up on the attachments. All the info you and the others gave me was really great and for that I am most greatful.Iam going to try and attach a couple of things with this post, please dont expect too much as I have only had the program 3 mths,I dont have a manual so all I have learnt has been with the Help File and trial and error,(push buttons and see what happens). The patrol boat model was provided most generously by gunpoint.com and I just played with it a bit. You asked for some cool stuff, frozen is as cold as it gets. Cheers GG.

Nicely done GG. Perhaps a bit of tweaking of the water texture would make this even better, but it's good work. I wouldn't want to be on that boat, though...:)

Like the patrol boat, but couldn't find gunpoint.com, if that's ice, the texture needs a bit of tweaking, just a thought...:)

you might consider one of the cloud textures for around the bow..it's a thought..maybe just tweak a lattice, maybe something like that..could look like spray..

The theory was that the boat is frozen in pack ice.Perhaps by making the the surface more raised and jagged it would convey that impression better.

A snow texture might give more the impression you want. The blue looks like very thin ice or water. Great start.

This is so much better than my first bryce! I like the leaden sky, it adds a forbidding atmosphere. May I suggest that if you have no manual (did you look on the disk? Manuals are often put on the disk in pdf format) you should go right out and buy Susan Kitchen's book 'Real World Bryce 4' which everyone on this forum will assure you is the Bryce Bible. Even though it doesn't cover metaballs and trees, it has everything you can imagine about Bryce in it. Tres

Yep... Real World Bryce 4 by Susan Kitchens is the book to have if you really want to get into Bryce and learn all you can. Like Tresamie said, the only thing that book doesn't cover is metaballs and trees. Other than that it is the Bryce Bible. Ya can't go wrong in buying it. It is well worth the money. ;)
