It's WAY too big. The texture looks good, just the scale is wrong.

I put the original denim source texture (400x400, 132KB) and a shrunken version (200x200, 32KB) on my site. They are seamless tiles. Use as you want, commercial or free clothing textures, just don't sell the textures themselves.

Thanks for the textures. They look really good. You just need to work on the scale for the mapping of the object.

If you have P5, you can tile and experiment with the number of replications in the Material room. A matching bump, tiled the same helps the look. With P4, you can remap the pants to allow tiling, but it is fixed at instances of the power of two =, then * x1 = four tiles? * x2 = eight tiles? * x3 = 16 tiles?

It's hard to tell. I think that the best thing to do would be to photograph a real live pair of jeans and import that as a background in poser to use as a reference to match the grain size.

The second image is a lot better for scale, and the color is good. Denim is actually the weave pattern.

Anybody got a chambray texture for the P4 mens shirt? Since we're discussing denim, I thought I'd ask about the good old denim cotton workshirt...and the jeans jacket while I'm pestering folks. Anyone got anything on those two in the price range of, say, free?

For jeans jackets, you can take the denim texture at my link a few posts up and just darken it.
Thanks,
NN

In chambray aren't the warp and weft threads the same size? Carolly

Thanks for the tip on the jacket! I'll definately try that, and thanks for the denim textures. Not a problem with selling the textures. I'm not smart enough yet to make anything anyone would pay for. ; )

If you use the texture to make a shirt, it's okay to give away or sell the entire texture map. Just don't put the texture in a fabric textures collection and sell that. Enjoy, NN
