exactly my thoughts - make the light dim as it protrudes. Also a good technique is putting a little in the fore ground - maybe some tree leaves to give the impression of peering out (spying on the plane) or something like that - great work tho!

THe scene is very nice, the forground and light comments are very good as well. I agree with both and would like to add the suggestion of adding light or faded color to the plane to give it more realism.

Adjust the size of the beam's origin a little smaller. I agree with the above comments. Great work so far.

Thanx Toad, that was my question too, If the plane was done in Bryce, how? Very nice modeling. You might try a cloud mat or someting with a fuzzy attribute on the prop to give it motion blur...
