Can anyone tell me why when I select some clothing for VV3 that it doesn't actual show on the model?

Is it not showing up at all, or not conforming properly? It could be that you are missing the geometry file, be sure to istall all files that come with the item in the correct folders.

Ask me a question, and I'll give you an answer.

The clothes are displayed in the poses navigator but when I select it all that happens is my model moves. ie her pose is altered slightly.

Hmmm are you sure it's not just MAT poses you've got? Or add-ons for an existing piece of clothing?

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Yup, sounds like add-ons to me too, post a picture so we can see what you're talking about.

I could be wrong but it looks as though you are in the POSE area. You need to dress her before you pose her:). Check the Character area or the Prop area for you dressing needs.

As far as I can see, Voluptuous Vickie is for V2. Steffy Staxx is for Stephanie. None of those will work on V3. The clothes by Billy-t should show up but they're not made for V3 iether.

Ah and yes, those on your pic are MAT poses. They're not the clothing. Only texture changes for it :o)

Thnaks guys - boy am I p'd off! I went to the figures folder then selected the clothes - it displayed but the character disappeared! I assume this is because like you said (ernyoka1) that Voluptuous Vickie is for V2. Can you just verify (dlk..) which tab is teh 'character area - is it setup or do you mean the figures tab in the navigator?

RawArt posted Tue, 26 August 2003 at 11:54 AM

the reason the figure disappeared is because you hit the single checkmark instead of the double one :)

TrekkieGrrrl posted Tue, 26 August 2003 at 12:03 PM

Yes the Figures tab in the palette/navigator is where the clothes are. Always make sure that whatever you buy are MEANT for characters/clothes you have :o) It is normally listed alongside with the item in the Market Place :o)

Don't double-click to load anything from the Figure library, you will (as you've found) replace the current figure with what you load. This is a really dumb bit of Poser interface design - double-click = single tick = replace figure, double tick = load in addition to current figure.
