ok, anyone want to help me figure out the Poser 5 material settings so Michael has some eyeballs in Cartoon setting? Attached is what I'm getting now.

I've turned off transparency, thinking that was the problem, but so far, I can't get eyes.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Mostly the problem is that the eyes on the figure have an outer layer to provide reflection. I think someone had some morphs that removed that layer for working in Cartoon. Wallace3d made a morph for Vicki's eyes but that's all I could find. I don't think it'd be that hard, just heirarchy away the head for a moment, group the outer eyeball and magnet it away. But I'm not too good with morphs so I cant be sure how that'll work.

I couldn't figure out what do do with Mazak's obj files

TrekkieGrrrl posted Wed, 27 August 2003 at 2:02 PM

Load the obj's as morph targets for the eyes and then apply the morph. :o)The morph removes the Outer Eye, which is what makes the white eyes in Cartoon-with-lines renders.

You can also just place some flattened cylinders or spheres for pupils on each eye as a child. Then just color those black.

Mason, that would stilll leave you with no iris. Sure it would make anime-ish eyes, but Mazak's morph is just so much better. And easy to use as soon as you know WHAT to do with it of course :o)
