I'm trying to get the effect of a space ship that has window lights all over it. If I use a texture with yellow dots (for example) it all looks good on the side exposed tothe light, but not the part in shadow. I want to keep that shadow effect, but still have bright window spots. Is this even possible in Bryce? Thanks. Aharon

You need to make sure that your ambience is set so that the yellow dots are ambient and the rest of the material isn't. Go into the deep texture editor and click on the A (for alpha) next to the part of the material that sets the yellow dots. Then go back to the regular material editor and click the dot next to the Ambience so that your material is used for this channel as well.

Try different mapping modes also (Object Space, parametric, etc.) Hawkfyr

Thanks. Playing with the alpha and setting it to Parametric or parametric scalled, did the trick. Thanks folks. Aharon
