If this is a u-boat, then I think the sea should be several shades of grey. 0.02p

I'll see what I can do with the color. Thanks Do I have to return the change?

For a more realistic smoke try using the Volumetric Burning Tire Smoke. I know it will increase render time quite a bit but the effect is fantastic. Cool image. 8)

pretty good, i would suggest a slight POV change and maybe another plane, mostly because a single couldn't possibly drop a bomb and in the time remained for the water splash to come down to rotate around and use the machine gun :D just a nitpick, i know :D Drac
GROINGRINDER posted Fri, 29 August 2003 at 1:45 AM
The big water splash is from another ship off camera shooting at the plane drac. Swade I just cannot get the burning tire smoke to work good here.

Looks cool GROINGRINDER. one thing though, I think most fighterplanes aren't purple, rather dark green or grey. Red October was cool I've read the book.

Eric: Did you see the film 'Red October'. If not you really need too. Granted that this is probably your take on the book, the film version of the sub is spectacular!

plane seems a bit small... other then that, great pic
GROINGRINDER posted Fri, 29 August 2003 at 2:18 PM
Thanks seansan2. Over on the Rhino forum they said it was too big, so I shrunk it some.
Rayraz posted Fri, 29 August 2003 at 3:48 PM
I don't think the plane is too small, remember you're looking at a huge sub with a crew of probably 100 men or more and a simple one person fighterplane.

I think it's more likely that the watersplashes of the bullets that are too big compared to the plane and sub.

Bryster, yeah, its a long ways from even being close to accurate. I have the film and should crack it out some day. You can't see the drives in that shot, but they are there. GG, keep up the good work, I like your sub scene a lot.
