Anyone get a chance to go out and see mars in the sky? was supposed to be at its peak when we got bombarded with thunderstorms and incredibly thick (muggy) haze and i haven't been able to see it. anyone know when it will taper of fto nothing and i will lose my once in a lifetime chance? lol thanksssssss Jen

My kids and I got our telescopes out to night and had a look. We could see it fairly clearly in the southeastern sky.

i went out to look also, and i saw a pinkish colored star peking from behind the clouds, and one or two white stars....lol so am thinking that super bright pinkish one was probably it... (least that's what i'm telling myself anyway lol) Thanks Quest for that link to an awesome pic...grins

I saw it last night when I went to visit my mom. Where she lives there aren't as many lights as in the city so you get a pretty good view of the sky. It was very bright, with a slight reddish/pink color, and huge compared to what it usually looks like. I just wish I'd had my binoculars with me to get a closer look. Catlin
