Ok is it me or is the Hair room just blah. it takes for ever im running a celaron 2.4ghz and a gig of ram and still it is slow and when i get something i like and render it. it looks like utter and total cow plop. does anyone have the same problem, and is there any solution.

I've gotten some good results out of it (mind you, I wasn't creating human hair), but it really slows down my renders, also.

Hair in the hair room does take forever to render, which is why I still buy hair. :-) I've found it helps to start with the dynamic hair that comes with Poser. Even though it's meant for Don and Judy, you can generally fit it to Victoria, Mike, etc. with a little tweaking. And it renders faster than any hair I've created myself in the hair room. It seems to be carefully designed to render quickly, as far as density, vertices, etc., go. As for how it looks...what problems are you having with it? You have to have lights that cast shadows for hair room hair to look decent. Adjusting the color can be a bit tricky, too; if you want a color other than the default, you might have to experiment a bit, to get it to look natural.

Have you got the SR3? I believe that sorted out some problems with the hair room, although not enough of them ;-)
