Recently got 3DS Max 5.1. When I import into from Poser to 3DS Max there is no problem however, when in 3DS Max, I export the modified figure back into Obj format and then reimport back to Poser5, there are these offending black patches in Poser5 (see picture attached). What have I done wrong? Please help to explain the correct way to import and export or tell me any detail tutorials around. Thanks

i have had this problem as have others.. it is the process. max to poser in obj does this... i dont know why, someone else might. i suggest export from max as a 3ds file instead. poser will import 3ds models fine and the difference between working in poser with an obj or 3ds is negligble (since the final model will ((might)) be saved to the lib which will creat an obj copy... (sans offending black patches) though you might have some resizing ahead of you. you can simply resize next to a regular poser figure and get your scale back. hope this helps.
