Hi all... about one week ago I posted my first C4D renders, then I was out of the galleries and forum for a while due to some family problems. Just this line to say I'm back. I don't know if I'll make it in time for the challenge closing, but I'll try to. Sigh. Now I'm out to the gallery to see what I missed. Stefano

Hello, I'm glad you managed to come back to see us and I hope your family problems are small. I also hope that the next render you do will be in Bryce none of this slinking off to the dark side with C4D.........even if you are making incredible images with it. 8) Catlin

Thanks a lot! Problems are far to be solved, but I'm back having some time on my hands again! As for the C4D/Bryce issue, I find C4D modelling simply fantastic, as much as the very powerful render engine. Really another planet. If you saw my first C4D render, it's a full volumetric/caustic rendering with high AA settings and the 1280x1024 rendered in 20 minutes... The problem I'm having is with the materials (or "shaders", you name it): so far, I think Bryce DTE is way more powerful, and I keep on banging my head on the texturing method in C4D. Thinking I was simply a dumb newbie, I found very encouraging the interview with cartesius in the Pro-Files of Digital Artworks who said more or less the same thing. Btw, our fellow Brycer sbleci got featured in the DA ProFiles, congrats! :) S.

Indeed- welcome back! Best wishes for a timely and appropriate resolution of the issues. It was your first C4D image that got me playing with lighting and resulted in my latest image!

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!
