I second the dvd request VHS is dated and all the new computers come with DVD players now. Also my VCR just broke a couple of weeks ago and I've had trouble even locating a place that sells VCRs anymore everybody has DVD players but no VCRs.

I'm going to have to chime in here, too. I don't have a TV (anywhere from 5-7 computers, and 2 of which may be working... why do I want another monitor when it is time for a break?), so, of course, no VCR unless I go to my neighbor's. My G4 has a nice handy DVD player, and so does just about any other computer released in the last 3 years. For people with a TV and a computer in the same room, the VCR option is undoubtedly handy: they can watch one screen and follow along on the other. It would be a quick way to learn. If a pure DVD option was also available, it should open more sales and be better positioned for the future. Carolly

Also, the ntsc system leaves out all of Europe, which uses PAL instead. OK some newer vcr's can do both, but.... A dvd is more handy for sure. And weighs less too. But of course the DVD would probably be coded with whatever region code the US uses, so.... It'll be useless in Europe as well... ;o) Speaking of books... Any news on releasing Bloodsongs book here too?

Hi Gang, When we first decided to put together the Poser 5 Demystified video we did some research. We were amazed at the fact that less than 50% of current users had DVD players - even less had DVD players in their computers. The number of people with a VCR was over 90%. The obvious choice for us was to release a VHS with supporting content on a mini CD until we could determine the demand and the acceptance of our product. Both have been exceptional! We have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback and were definitely interested in producing the best product we can. With that in mind, we are currently assessing the demand for a DVD. Please send an email to joe@3-AXIS.com with a header of "P5DMS DVD if youd like to see Poser 5 Demystified on DVD. The greater the demand, the faster itll happen. All emails will be kept confidential and we wont fill your in-basket with junk. All the best, Joe www.3-AXIS.comLawndart posted Tue, 09 September 2003 at 12:38 PM
