I know that there used to be a lot of this stuff for free download but I can't seem to find any of the links now.

Zippo's website, in Japan, has TONS of this type of Poser stuff and its really good! But I don't have the link right now- maybe someone else can provide it.

This should be it.

No, that link doesn't work.

It will, though, later this month. He's gone offline before. We'll just have to be patient.

The link worked for me as soon as I took one of the extra slashes out :)

If I remember correctly, these are all plain .obj files with no textures, but the modelling detail is superb (the ambulance gurney unzips to just over 12Mb!)

Oops! sorry bout the extra slashes. Wierdly enough the link worked fine for me even with them in.

rrkknight3 posted Thu, 04 September 2003 at 7:49 AM

(Here we're talking about Zippo's site, rather than the rest of the discussion which has continued with lists of other places from which to get the requested stuff.)

The extra slashes shouldn't be a problem. Almost all web browsers do the right thing when you leave off the trailing slash -- they try again with the slash. That URL has always answered me. Perhaps farang had some other trouble.

I believe that we should remember that Japanese culture expects politeness from everyone, and when a web site operator says that he wants to suspend the web site, he's probably expecting us to just comply. We've lost some good Japanese sites by not respecting the requests of our Japanese friends.

ernyoka1: I guess I will finish it one day... no rush... as there is little interest in my models or the ones I had planned. ziggie

ziggie... You know, you should just have placed a nekkid Vickie in that last scene with the bed-with-paper roll, and people would have gone all oooh and aaaah ;o)

rrkknight3 - the trailing slash wasn't the problem - but the 3 slashes early on were. But all is well!

rrkknight3 posted Thu, 04 September 2003 at 7:28 PM

BecSchm - I see now. The problem is that I usually use Mozilla, and it just fixes that one as well. I tried it on Internet Exploder and it was mad. Great! I've learned another weirdness to watch out. Thanks!

If you're willing to convert DWG files, this site has a hospital bed, IV cart, endoscopy cart and exam table in the "Equipment" group.

ziggie posted Fri, 05 September 2003 at 3:22 AM

If you need a bed similar to the one at that site without the hassle of conversion I have this one I can let you have. ziggie
