On 5/29/00 I downloaded the free popsicle. I just tried to extract it and I'm showing "shortcut to popsicle.exe" I don't know how that happened.

You aren't supposed to extract it. You should have a file called popsicle.exe Just double click on it, and it will load into Poser. If you loaded Poser anywhere but the default folder, you will have to change the path when the popsicle loads.

I don't have Popsicle.exe . I wonder if I deleted it when cleaning up the mess on my harddrive. All I have is the shortcut to it.

You probably dragged and dropped the file to a storage directory. Often that does not work with *.exe files. If you hold the shift key - it will move You can also copy - paste. But more often than not, if you drag - you get the "short cut to" thing.

That's what I'm afraid of. I probably downloaded into one directory then moved the exe into my Zygote directory. So I probably deleted the origianl file. I guess I will have to contact Zygote. I didn't download the jpgs to some of the files - can't remember which ones - I think the pig is one of them. I ran the executables on the free downloads and I don't see them in poser. The Camel did show up.

The files are probably on your hard drive somewhere, with the full path tree(s) there. Use "find files". Try "Zygote" as the key word. A better way to install may be to select an empty directory when the exe asks if the path is correct. Then drag the files into Poser yourself. Unless you like editing PP2 files, retain Zygote's subdirectories under Geometries - the prop geometry is not in the PP2 file. But the PP2 file itself can go anywhere you wish in the props library- you need not adopt Zygote's organization. You can also put the textures right next to the PP2 file rather than in Textures if you wish. Cr2 and PP2 files look to home first for textures. They will also look down the branches of subdirectories under the PP2/CR2 directory if you reorganize your filing system. I have Vic in the "People" directory under "characters" (I renamed the default "People" to "Poser People".) I moved the textures from "People" proper to various subdirectories under "People" and to my surprise - Poser found them. I thought that I would have to re-apply them.
