When I open the same file in P5, Firefly renders it like this!
ghack! (that's geekspeek for help!)

I have seen this before. How I fixed it is remove the map save the file again then reopen it and add the map. It worked for me. Also you might want to check to see if the map is tiled somehow in the mat room.

I think some of Koz's hair did this. He's posted a solution on his webpage; however, just plug the map into the displacement node and set to .0001 If that's the problem, it should work.

Dragon, thanks for the great tips now my P5 renders faster! Maybe you know how I use P4 reflection maps in P5, too? ;)

Anybody know a fix for the problem with transmapped hair in P5 reflections? Where strands don't show, and you get sort of a white halo?

I thought they fixed that with one of the early service releases. Is it coming out the same colour as the background?

I think I have the latesest SR, SR3 I think, no it seems to mostly be white. I'll have to see if I can find a render that shows it (the problem) better. I've seen one other post here on it, so it isn't just me. ;-)
