You could try using Mat Pose Edit, find it in the free stuff.

Yep, I've found MatPose Edit to be the MOST useful program for creating mat and mor files :o) Laurie

Mat poses are for applying a specific texture to a specific figure, so which one are you using? As far as I know you can use Mat Pose Edit (which is for Windows only) with Poser 3 - at worst you will get a warning about its being for a newer version before it opens. If you want to use Mat Pose Edit the simplest way is to load your figure, apply textures, and save it to the Figure library (open the folder you want to put it in, then click the + at the bottom of the library window, if you don't already know that). Close Poser, open MPE (a warning - you may need to get some OCX controls before it will work, there are instructions with the application) and load the CR2 you just saved (it will be in Poser 3RuntimeLibrariesCharacterthe folder you chose) and then just re-save as a pose file (PZ2), in a folder in your Pose library (Poser 3RuntimeLibrariesPosethe folder you choose). Then you can load an untextured/differently textured example of the same figure into Poser, go to the Pose library and double click the pose you created to apply the texture and colour settings.

Has anyone else had Mat Pose Edit freeze while trying to load a fully-morph-loaded V3 character to make a MOR pose with? Just wondering if its the program, or my figure

Just tried it, not exactly a freeze but the Windows interface slowed to a crawl (dialogue and window components appeared one---by---one---by---one) and MPE seemed to be going nowhere. Task Manager showed its CPU usage between 0% and 90%, memory 12Mb-650Mb, with the highs occuring when it periodically updated its display. I gave up after about fifteen minutes.

Another way to make a MAT Pose file is to copy the materials section from a cr2 using a text editor and past it into a template, then save the template with a pz2 extention.

{

version
        {
        number
        }
figure
        {
//---Paste the materials section from the cr2 below this line---

        }
}
