I have created a logo with a background (gradient - grey)and used the rightmost column of pixels (1 pixel wide) to pad out the width of the banner. It pads out fine but I get a few horizontal lines across the banner. Does anyone know why this is happening? The 1 pixel column is png format. I have tried increasing the width of the png for padding but it makes no difference. Any ideas??? :-(

Trying to visualize this, but I'm afraid I can't do it. Can you give a URL or post a screen shot? How tall (in pixels) is the column? My guess would be that the horizontal lines are going to be repeating that often, meaning that you may have an imperfect blend on the edges of the column. Try this: Open the image, select all, make it into a pattern, then open a new BIG document window in Photoshop and fill with the new pattern. That'll give you an idea what's going on with the tiling and such. bonni
