I was looking through a photo magazine at the bookstore the other day and saw something that really caught my eye. A photographer had taken that craft spray paint that resembles stone and painted some fruit and a bowl with it and shot a still life picture..... Am I "stealing" or "just borrowing" his (or her, ladies) idea as it sparked several ideas about spraying other items (not necessarily fruit) with this paint and shooting them? Jack ps. and why does this worry me anyway?

ps. and why does this worry me anyway? I think you just answered your own question..... Of course it isn't plagarism.....I think we all use others ideas and incorporate them into our own vision. You see something you like that someone has done....and you have to try it....along the way you learn, you have fun and you take the bits and pieces that work for you and you incorporate it into your own style.... there is nothing wrong with that.
I am, therefore I create.......

There is a VERY long history in art (and science) of doing exactly the same thing. You somewhat run the risk of over-doing someone else' technique, but that doesn't seem to be what you are intending here. Go for it! [Be sure to post any spray paintings involving Michelle or Star here.]

Nah ... plageerism is taking something that someone else created and calling it your own. You're taking something that someone else did and doing it yourself, making it your own. Big difference. Misha - re: "involving Michelle or Star ..." You make me so proud. Always thinking ... I like that. :) And speaking of deviant behaviour, where the hell is Jordy? -=>Donald

Make a mold of your hand giving the finger. Spray it with that stuff, set it on top of a grave stone and send me the pictures please. I'll change the engraving in photoshop to various humorous phrases and post them here. Thank you.

Plagiarism: Honey and Lemon will greatly soothe the Symptoms of Plagiarism, unless of course it is the Black Plagueism. I have had heaps of isms diseases....sigh...most I got rid of with Arnica Ointment...but for sure I caught this Plagiarism off someone in the Forum....it ain't My own....the only thing You will catch off My Keyboard is Warts...and JordyArt is a Deviant?...oooh Shake Me Bones....just Deviant Behaviour...More Honey ...more Lemons! And why does it worry You? Jacoggins...You are Your Own Man....if You let this worrying about Plagiarism bother You....then, We might as all go Home. We all catch stuff off others...sometimes...even in an Artistic Sense...but...You usually can put Your Own distinctive traits into it very soon....i hope I have not dragged this out....ooh...darn...My Cocoa has gone Cold!
