Using PoserPro.. have done mats before for mike,V2 and V3 with no problems....But this is strange to me..This is Stephanie..The first character is the original. The one I did the mat from...The second character is when I apply it to the second one....Does any body know why Steph turn purple?...These two characters are on the same frame with the same lighting....I couldn't find any reason for this...Thanks for any help on this matter:)

My suspicions would be that the original has a white skin color and the second one has some other color (perhaps the default skin tone). You'll probably have to go and change the skin colors on the second one to white.

That was the first thing I checked,But no the skin color is white and not the default. That is why this is so strange.

OK next guess ... are they both on the stage at the same time, that far apart, and are the lights colored differently on the right and left? Or ... are there any other differences in the ambient or highlight colors?

Yes they are on the same stage at the same time,Using a global even light all around. No color lights...Strange isn't it....

Did you use Dark Whispers Texture convertor? I did see this with one texture I converted from V2 to V3. still couldn't get it to look the same with out some tweaking in photoshop.

That is REALLY strange! It's almost like there is a hue shift going on.

Ghostofmacbeth posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 1:09 PM

It could be one of the other material parts like the ambient or the specular color ...

pdxjims posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 1:53 PM

Check the ambient on the two. It may be that one is black, and the other just looks black on the screen (dark grey or deep purple). Also check the amount of ambient.

Try rendering them seperately, so that each is in the center of the stage...that will tell you if the lights are causing the problem....though personally, I like the right one better...heh

Okay..this is what I found out.It wasnt the ambient lighting or colors or anything like thatThe Original and Mat were identical..This is where it gets strange now. When I did the first one I used the ALL WHITE to get rid of the (Object Default Color)Now I redid the mat from scratch But this time I manually made the object Color white as I added the Texture. Then I made the Mat Now it works perfect.I have no explanation why it didnt work the other way"Strange" I want to thank everybody for jumping in and trying to help me:)
