He's finally done and will be included in the next Fairywoods update... WizardCoat and Wizardhat by Steve Shanks, Collar by Sharkey, raven by Baument -coverted to obj & UVmapped. Merlin also wears dark blue medieval slippers by Hokusai (not shown on the preview) & wears Allie's hair with different highlight and colors. His staf & thunder prop were made by me and so was his sun pendant with the help of Elefont. So were all his textures, as usual :o) I just hope you like him ... his body texture was the hardest to do till I reached some acceptable results..

Perhaps your best to date - although it would be a hard call as all your figures are TOTALLY AWESOME! Rob

Geesh! I quit commenting long ago on your work because I ran out of superlatives. But if I sit here and not comment on this, I'm going to explode! Fantastic! I can't wait to download him. He's perfect for the wizard role in the update to my faerie animation. (It's artists like you who make newbies like me look good. Thank you, thank you, thank you.)

As always, a very impressive piece of work! A suggestion, perhaps; if I may? If the moustache was it's own object, or an added morph, then the lower face might not appear quite as flat (?) Something similar to what you did on the symbol on the front of the hat is what I'm suggesting :) Nonetheless, an outstanding model !!! ~Dave

Just terrific. Maybe he will inspire me--such a great character!! Those eyes just remind me of someone--maybe its just the 'world weariness' of him. Diane B

Rene, wonderful as always....you never cease to amaze me! I can't wait to get a hold of him!!! Diane B...his eyes remind me of the actor Richard Harris, the same weariness comes from his....

This must have taken quite some time to do, the detail is fantastic you must have made a dozen MT's for that face takes a lot of imagination to create a character of this caliber ... extraordinary

Y'all have a great day.

Merlin thanks everybody for the warm welcome you had in store for him! :o) SHARKEY..that staff was the easiest thing to accomplish, no big deal!..just one ball into another, inside one textured, outside one with texture and transparency map! :o)
