I'm attempting to do a portrait of a real person morphed from one of the stock models. This means I need to have the scans for references on the screen at the same time as the Poser environment. I can't be the first person to try this. Is there something obvious I'm missing here (please be kind, I've had the software for one day)? Is there some way to superimpose images for template purposes?

Same problem I've had (after 6 months of heavy Poser use) I would love to have renders I can minimize and call back up for comparison. Only thing I can suggest is paste your original onto the background, then do a render of it (in a new window) and keep it on one side. Not great I'm afraid. If anyone else knows something better, let me know too! And PLEASE Curious Labs....Poser 5 with some way round this! maclean

The interface, in case you have not tried it, is completely configurable. You can move or hide everything in the Poser window. These settings can then be saved in one of the 9 UI Memory Dots (like the Cameras and Poses). I have one saved with everything shrunk down so that the whole Poser window fits on two-thirds of my screen, leaving one third for the very purpose you mentioned.

Crop your source image into a perfect square and then texture a flat square prop with it. Whalla. -Darth_Logice

I make a collage of ref materials in a paint program and paste it into the backround of the poser scene.

Looks like an advantage to Darth Logice's approach is being able to slice the head down the middle with the square to ensure the profile's accurate. If I can make this square translucent, even better.
