Im not sure how many people there are in the picture. I think its about 450-500, but I lost track.

wow! looks awesome so far---the only suggestion i have would be to turn down the ambience on the horses, they look a bit washed out texture-wise. other than that, this is quite incredible!!

Looking good so far. A few little things to maybe consider - maybe some volumetric smoke in front of the defenders from their musket fire. Also, did dragoons ride in a "stirrup to stirrup" formation or were they spread out formation troops (I have no idea so am asking)? Also it seems a little dark, but I'm not too sure about the time of day its set in or it could just be my crappy monitor lol. Nice work so far though.

Seems dark on my monitor as well, but looking good otherwise. Like the suggestion about smoke.

Looking good, but I'd make the grass-terrain at the right less square

How about a big puff of smoke and flame coming out of the cannon!

Thanks for all of the great suggestions. This one has been a BIG challenge for me. I forgot to preview my post on a PC so the Mac vs PC gamma thing got me(too dark on PC). Thanks for noticing the ambience on the horses - I knew something wasn't right there. I'll add the volume smoke and contour the field more to the shape of the road. I'll have to dig further on the Dragoons formation. I have seen paintings of them both ways but I guess I should find out for sure rather than rely on an interpetation which like mine may be wrong. I have done a new Grenadier who still looks good at middle distances (still under 700 polys). He has a real face and much better uniform but I don't think he will make it into this one as it would be a start over. I think I saw a page, tut... that showed how to do posable figures in Bryce. Does anyone know where to find it? Well back to work for me. Thanks again for the suggestions
