Amazing indeed, but I have to ask, how did you make that pile of kindling next to the fireplace. It's amazing.

Ok Shadow tell the truth, it's a photo isn't it......... If it isn't then you deserve an award 'cos it's amazing. The textures, modelling and composition are spot on, even down to the cruddy wall paper and granmas carpet. Excellent work! Catlin

Thanks for all the comments! I think I'll take the spear out, my younger brother thinks it's not cool at all in this scene, I tink I agree... The rug is ridiculous, the Bryce file for it alone is 92 MB. I'm thinking making a 2D image and setting it behind the camera would increase the reflection/refraction realism, but at this point I've pretty much reached my RAM limit, it doesn't matter how many machines you have if none of them can open the file...! Thanks for the praise...! Ornlu, like I was saying I'm not sure, but I did make some wood for a campfire in RDS, but I still think the .obj files aren't mine. There are a few differnt meshes, it's the texture that sets them off. It took several hours of test-rendering to get them placed correctly. One is still a bit off, the top-most one. (no collision detection really!) That pile is the last thing I inserted into the scene, along with the rack... Muddy Grubb, the mask I made as a terrain from a photo. The photo I took from a simple mask my friend brought back from the Phillipines. Heightmapped in Photoshop, but the texture on that one is all Bryce. Thanks for the comment...! It all started with the goddamn clock!

Amazing! Great modelling, texturing and lighting. The fire and the firewood look so incredibly good.

You've got to tell us how you did that fire Shadow it is very effective and just about the best fire I've seen in Bryce. 8) Catli
