Hopefully, the site should be getting back up to speed for most/some of you, if not hang on, we're getting there. Basically, the slow system is a result of the programmers upgrading the system. They're aware of the problems and are doing their best to finish with the upgrades and get everything back up to speed again, asap. The programmmers are working on optimizing the database indexes for the galleries. Unfortunately, it slows the galleries down when creating new indexes. We should be done shortly. AgentSmith

I was beginning to think it was a denial od service attack by some malicious moron, but if it's only the programmers we can give them some slack. Although I do hope they get it sorted soon, it's been driving me crazy over the past couple of days. 8I Catlin

upgrades are always necessary so better they go slow and take their time and do it right. Good job, glad to see some progress.

Thanks for the update AS, is always better to know, then to be left to wonder...lol (hoping we could get here to see the news lol) Today seemed really bad...my sister and her hubby came over, and of course I had to show off all of You guy's work, but none of th epictures would open, then later, not even the forum would open... But of course, I emailed them links to get here when they have time, so all is good....lol Jen

Per Tammy; "The more database intensive gallery viewing options have been disabled at this time in order to get performance back to a reasonable level. This includes MostViewed, MostCommented, and BestRanked. This is temporary until we have this worked out."

Everything is running much quicker at this hour, thank you.

Well, if those database intensive gallery thingys are the problem, then hopefully they'll just get rid of them. Running much better here now too.

Lol, the database thingys are what brings up "Most Viewed", "Most Commented", etc. AS

What I meant was - get rid of the "most viewed", "most commented" options, like they have now, but for good..... so those data base thingys aren't needed and aren't used (if those related database thingys are making the probs).

Ah, just saw the new solution... looks an interesting attempt at cutting back on server calculations. Hopefully it'll be good :)
