I would appreciate it if somebody who's bought Vue Pro could post a rendered image of a scene they've exported from Vue into Poser 5, so that we can judge the quality. Quite frankly, the thing I most want to be able to do is take Vue into Poser so I can make use of the cloth and hair rooms. But if the resulting scenes are low quality, I see no reason to spend the money. Anybody that can help with this, thanks!

The exports of scenes are only for. *Synchronization plug-ins and file format support for 3DS Max, Cinema 4D, LightWave, Maya, Softimage XSI... That's how it looks to me. I don't think Poser 5 is concidered a Major 3D application. I may be wrong.

Poser allows 3ds import, so it should be able to import a Vue Pro 3ds export.

I don't see the interest to export to poser....

OK, I have just created a quick one. This is a Papyrus plant, exported as it and imported into Poser. Guitta

When exporting from Vue to Poser, you can select a resolution. The above plant (to make it faster) were exported in a very low resolution.

"...I don't see the interest to export to poser..." Since Poser 5's Dynamic cloth and hair only work in Poser, then it desirable to be able to import a scene into Poser to access those features. -SMT

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

Oh sorry, something I have to say: I imported the above plant into Poser 4. I have Poser 5 but I'm unable to use it for the moment, I only had a short look to it and have to learn every thing about. So, I will ask to another beta tester to try it and then give you the answer. This may take several days. I think sirkrite is right concerning entire scenes, but plants and terrains works fine in Poser 4... Let's see for Poser 5.

OK, I have already the answer: Pro doesn't import entire scenes into Poser. Poser is not a high end application. But you always can import terrains and any plant, as well into Poser 4 as into Poser 5.

Don't forget that you can render in each program and then composite the results. There are still a lot of opportunities.
