I saw the 4.2 upgrade announcement on the Curious Labs website.
Compatibility with P5 was all that it took to convince me: I'm buying Vue.
Maybe, just maybe, I can avoid the rendering lock-ups that occur all too frequently within P5. Especially when one attempts to render complex scenes.
I have found that if I place four or five V3 characters in a scene, P5 tends to choke on the render. Sadly, this problem is even worse when props, backgrounds, etc. are added to the mix. Of course, there are "tricks" to (sometimes) get around the rendering problems. But these "tricks" always result in terribly lenghty render times. And the "tricks" won't even solve the problem about 40% of the time.
I believe that Vue might be the solution that I've been looking for......it's just too bad that P5 can't handle complex renders natively....
Vue renders are beautiful. I'm looking forward to getting started soon.
