looks great so far--love the poses and mats. the only suggestion i have would be to maybe edit the sky a little bit, it just kinda looks "defaultish" i u know what I mean, but, i still think this rocks!!

amazing what a few people can do for a pic..this is much more accurate, and fun besides..;) this must be the part where Cleopatra VII has herself rolled up into the carpet to meet Caesar..;)

It's a realy nce pic but I can't figure out why the edges of the carpet would be off the ground. Maybe its really windy.

Suggestions: the textures on Poser skins are too flat. You should change ... something. Probably less ambience. The attendant should have no hair. (And possibly be fatter.) A eunuch. And you should postwork the elbows a bit to remove that Poser joint bug. The urn and vase should have more specularity and reflection. Put black or something similarly dark for specular halo. With this kind of haze, the sky should be lighter, too. And yes, the carpet... Looking forward to Caesar. He was bald, you know, with a fringe of hair, and had a crooked nose. I seem to remember that Poser 4 had such hair and an ability to put a crook into a nose.

looks great! i agree...sky should be lighter blue. i also recommend disabling the sunlight and using zenith instead: http://www.renderring.com/models/zenith.zip It will give you more control over the lighting and softer shadows without much render time increase at all.

Aye, cool layout for certain, I can't wait to see the finished work! It's not just a haze function, but the image lacks contrast at this point. You know this, I'm sure... There are no definite blacks or whites yet... (well, maybe some whites, but no real blacks). I know this is a WIP, but for how strong the shadows are being cast, there would be a LOT of darks in the image...

I think you should put a darker colour into Specular and Specular Halo. It must not be white or a very light grey.
