Well, I finally got a download link for the Shocker Boots. But it is a sit file not the exe file. Gawd, what are they doing?????????? BTW - still have 15 downloads left for M3. Anyway, I have stuffit, and can open it, but are the files inside usable on a pc or are they different for a mac? Sorry mac folks, but I am clueless.

"are they different for a mac?" Yeah they are. Every file has a MAC header to it. To use them on a PC, you would have to edit every file to remove that header...I've done it before and it's a real pain.

So the worm turns! Some of the V3 update files are in .exe form only, which naturally I can't use on the Mac.....

I believe the boot downloads have been corrected so both PC and Mac users can use the files. If you haven't checked your account in awhile, this is a good time to do so. Don't be surprised, however, that you have additional Mike 3 downloads. He seems to be breeding in the accounts section.

No boots .exe yet only one .sit but 3.sit x 3.exe for M3 base. ;)

Last night I had the sit file. This morning I have both the exe and sit, so I'm sure they are going through and fixing the problem.

i have 18 Mike3 Base downloads and both exe and sit for the boots... this AM i only had the sit file. i guess they are still in the process of updating member account pages.

Whenever I purchase things lately, the list shows both the windows exe and the mac sit version. I can download either, I think. I skip over the sit files. I thought it was something new they were doing. But I have to be careful so I select the right one because they alternate.

Any you PC folks that get a .sit file and need it converted I'll do it for you and send it back to you as a zip fle. I don't have M3 so the files will be tossed after conversion as they will be useless to me :-)

I'm not sure about the boots, I haven't tried to get them, but I have 15 M3 downloads on my account page! LOL Melanie
