No insult to Bigserge or his friends but I find it very hard to believe that someone is selling 3D studio max 3.1 and Maya 2.5 for those prices. An retail verson of Max goes for $3500.00 and a seller can get well over $2000.00 for it easily at an auction site. And Maya 3D, Oh gosh! Don't even mention the price of that! It all sounds too shady for me. A word to the wise for everyone here. If you see a deal that sounds too good to be true, it probably is and you are getting hack-ware or illegal copies. I am not saying that there are not any good deals out there!, however paying $300.00 for 3D studio max or Maya is like paying $1000.00 for a Ferrari and that my friends is one in a million! The funny thing is, some of you are even looking for illegal or hack-ware. Tell me something, Have you ever wondered why this stuff cost so much!?

Tephladon, Points taken. You are right. I expressed those exact concerns to Sergio when he came to me with the deal. They are also being sold with "Educational Licenses" which are limited to no commercial work. I am a Developer and have been a programmer in the past. Illegal software really chaps my ass. It does drive the prices up on SW. Its a known fact. Just to let everyone know. Renderosity does not and will not stand for the distribution of illegal software in any form or fashion. The words from Tephladon are true. Good deals are rare unless they are from a close friend. Thanks for the post Tephladon! Best Regards, Clint
