....GET IT off. Damn, I hate it when it dows that! While we are at it, let's all stop putting our subjects in all caps and

stop using stinking HTML commands

in subjects and messages. Somebody the other day (I not trying to flame anybody, but you know who you are!) ;) didn't close the damn thing and EVERYBODYs message was in big type, and I couldn't get to the next page of the messages the regular way. Now if I could only learn to spell! Common guys and gals, do it right, stop trying to show how clever you are!

I agree. I am pretty much new here, but it looks like people are on ebay trying to get bidder's attention. I posted a simple question today in normal text with a normal title. I got a reply in 2 minutes. Well, there's my 2k's worth.

I'm HTML-impaired. Sometimes it's interesting to wonder how someone got their lettering in a different color, but it does get annoying. The only thing I'd be interested in knowing how to do is how to insert a picture into a post that's further down on the list. Say you start a thread with a WIP and people make comments and you redo the render, how would you insert the pic into the same thread without having to start a new one? I've seen it done, I just don't know how to do it.

::picks up jim's keyboard and WHANGs him upside the head with it:: there we go, works every time. ;) next time anybody has that problem, we'll know how to fix it. okay, one more time, to post an image in a reply, it has to be on the web somewhere. you also have to know where (ie "the url.") then just type this, but with the greaterthan/lessthan bracket thingies instead of [] [img src="http://type.the.whole/url/here.jpg"] img src (image source) are the key magic words to remember. and yes, use the " marks.

Bloodsong, so you can't do that if it's an image in your hard drive? By the way, do you know any places where I can find some jpg textures of fur and hair, do you?

Nance posted Sat, 29 July 2000 at 11:15 AM

Liz, try searching for Wig sites for hair textures, but they are usually kinda small. The best source I've found is actually a newsgroup named: alt.binaries.pictures.celebrities.portraits.large that often has glamour head-shots which are posted big enough to grab some good hirez hair textures. (and no, you cannot upload a pic in a reply, you can only link to pic already on the web somewhere using the code as Bloodsong indicated.)

dreamspinners: that's correct. the subsequent image has to be on the web, not your hard drive. um... www.freetextures.com was it? um www.totallyseamless.com.... and let's see, what's this? http://www.forrest.cz/textures/ oh, and how about this? http://www.3dpalette.com/graphtallica/files.htm ::dusting off 3d goodie bookmarks, textures section::
