I installed Vue Pro and it was a very simple installation with no problems. Although installing the new beta 4.3 patch that e-on just released made my Vue4 unable to import Poser files I still installed Mover in Vue4. Then I found the mover update on the VuePro cd and updated mover for VuePro. I am importing Poser5 files and animations into VuePro with no problem. I have not tried to import Poser5 Hair or dynamics yet but i will try soon. It is great to work with Poser files in VuePro. I am able to leave Poser open. If I don't like the Poser file aniamtion or pose I simply go into poser redo the pose, save the exact file name as I am working with. VuePro asks me if I want to update the file as a frame or the entire animation. VuePro rocks!

Importing Poser 5 animations?!! I was waiting for that before purchasing Pro. Now I'll have to get it. Should be able to afford it this month if I cut out non-essentials like heating and food. :-) (Seriously tho', thanks for posting your experiences. Real world comments beat press releases any day.)

Cheers,
Mark

Link to the latest beta was posted in a previsou thread. URL is above. Seems to be OK although under XP Home I had to do a cold reboot after installation. OpenGL is now even faster. Or is that wishful thinking on my part? :-)

Mark

Open GL did not work for me in Vue4. It is awesome in VuePro. It worked instantly.

We've just released a new beta of the Vue 4.2 Update. This should hopefully be the last beta version... Not 4.3!!!!LuLulee, I think you added a version!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll purchase towards the end of this week. :-)

Thanks deevee, It is 4.2. I guess I am hoping for a 4.3 that works on my systems.

BGFT; Be aware of the fact that Vue Pro doesn't handle the dynamics of P5 yet. E-on is working on a Mover 5 that is supposed to do that (and I can't wait for that one!) That said, Vue Pro is definitely a major improvement in control, rendering, and sheer neato factor over Esprit.

I agree Dale_B. I could not get the Poser5 hair to go in. It simply did not show up. On the plus side all the Poser5 animations showed up perfectly. I did not try cloth yet so I don't know if that works yet.

Decided to ask for 3 month early birthday present, so am getting pro soon. ~Does a happy dance.~ Haven't looked forward to a program so much before. Hoping the open gl works like pictured.

Lululee; Nope, at least not as dynamic cloth. What you can do though is run a cloth simulation, choose which frame looks best to your eye, then export the cloth as a .obj prop. Vue accepts that just fine. Only good for still shots, but a good excuse to spend time in the cloth room.... ;)

Thanks Dale B for the cloth info. I will have to try it. cheerio lululee
