I'm trying to do a scene that has Poser people in it. But I'm having some trouble with transmapped hair from Kozaburo. It's the ponytail that I'm having a problem with. Where it's supposed to be transparent to give the more realistic effect I'm getting color. As near as I can figure it, the transparency color (last colored dot on the top section of the materials window I think) is causing it to glow. Setting that to darker colors just gets rid of the transparency. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Am I stuck doing two renders one with hair and one without to fix the hair in post? TIA

Okay .. there is a little tutorial I use. Wish I had a page to put it on and stuff. Basic method is. Click all the parts of the hair. Edit materials. Make the hair the "steel cage" under miscellaneous materials. In the steel part you load in the texture and the bump. In the grid texture you load in the transparancy in both sections. Change highlight off the blue and run with it. You might need to pick different materials for the inside outsed and stuff but the basic technicqe is there .. Later

One thing you need to check is this: In the Material Editor, in the upper right hand corner, but to the left of the texture column, is a little triangle thingie. Click on it. You'll see an option called Blend Transparency. Click on it. Then go back and try the render again. That should clear you up. HTH, John
