Just me? Or is the 'Delete Message' no longer an option from within a thread? The button that used to be to the right of the posting date seems to be gone. I see its still there when displaying the full list of all New Messages.

I couldn't see it either, how annoying :(

Yeah, without an edit buton, I've relied upon the ability to delete from within a thread... and it suddenly has gone whoosh! It also vanished from outside the thread, but that part seems to have come back. Since I thought it was my beastly computer, I dropped off-line and Restarted. Looks like a Forum problem, though if others are hitting it. Carolly

Yup, the delete link is gone :o( VERY annoying! It IS on the main forum page but I loved it IN the thread. Best way of correcting those 547 spelling errors you always overlook untill you have clicked "Post Reply" sigh

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

hmmm - I don't understand. What do you mean by New Messages?
TrekkieGrrrl posted Wed, 01 October 2003 at 11:03 AM
I think what Nance means is the list of messages in each forum. Sure fits the description ;o) The Delete is THERE, but not INSIDE the threads as it used to be :o( PLEASE bring that feature back!

will look into it.

Yup, formerly when viewing a thread's contents, as you are now, each author who had posted to that thread would see a [Delete Message] button on the line following his name, date and time. With that gone you now have to go outside the individual thread, bacdk to the full list of threads, to get a 'Delete' option. Not the end of the world, but having it right there was kinda handy. When correcting typos, it was faster & I suspect helped in avoiding crossposts or out-of-order messages in a fast moving thread.
Nance posted Wed, 01 October 2003 at 1:25 PM
leaving the 'bacdk' typo above in the name of irony. ;-)

ok, will put this on the list. it must have been changed some time ago because it has been some time since we have updated the forum code. tammy

Nope, Tammy, the delete was there 100% yesterday, coz I used it :o) PERHAPS something related to the warehouse-glitch?

Which of course is not to hard on a small thread with only 2 postings - but makes it very difficult on a thread with over 100 postings.

Tommy, can you please look into this problem :(

Finally found the forum forum (to remain on topic) because the missing delete button has been getting to me sinc eit vanished a few days ago. Can we put its picture on some milk cartons, lamp-posts and the like? ;) Cliff Bowman

Migrained-out dyslexics all over the Forum appreciate this! My typing isn't the best anyway, and if I can't see and can't edit... well, it gets embarrassing. At least now I can delete and try again. :) Thanks, Carolly

Posted a long and gushing 'Thank-You', then tested the restored Button on it. ;-)

Gee, you are meaner than I am! (said in tones of shocked admiration) I guess I'll have to go practice some more skewering in the OT Forum or risk losing my crown as Evil OverMistress of the Underdark. Maybe if I buttered someone up before offering him a light? ;^) Carolly
