Hello all Quick technical question. I have the standard version of Poser 4.03 and was wondering if Victoria V3 will work ok, some people have commented that I may need the Poser 4 pro pack? I'll welcome all your techie comments on this before I look at purchasing - thanks in advance :) I have e-mailed Daz3D about this but am still waiting for a response. Depending on cost, and whether it will work on Poser 4, I may end up upgrading to Poser 5, have to see! Are there other commercial female models out there that are of comparable quality to Victoria V3 and with no compatibility problems? I haven't really researched this much yet, but any ideas would be helpful - and I am still pretty new at using Poser so all help is useful. Thanks very much everyone - happy renderings! You will NOT need pro pack to run V3. It will work just great on Poser 4.03. If you plan to upgrade.. well, unless you really NEED the dynamic stuff in P5, I would recommend Pro Pack instead. But that's just me. I have both and use Pro Pack almost exclusively, basically becourse I do not NEED the P5 dynamics, and they take AGES to render :o)

She'll work fine in Poser 4, you have the update as well so you should be fine....i use her in both and fine Poser 4 a little faster to load her (because of the rsr file) but once in its about the same....Steve

Thanks for the information - I will stick with Poser 4, mainly because I still have to learn to use it better, and also because it does everything I need the program to do! Once I have created a posed model, I just export to Vue d'Esprit for final renders Lester

Hi Lester, I've got poser 4 and just like you I export to vue for final renders. I'm so happy with it. V3 looks great in Vue! Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

It's more of an issue with the amount of RAM you have than anything. V3 with all the morphs is a hefty chunk of polygons.

I don't have propac. Isn't that mostly if you need to make webpages? I use photoshop for that. Love esther

Pro Pack has nothing to do with webpages. Not sure how you got that idea :o) Pro pack is a sort of Poser 4,5. It has setup room and multipane cameras as the most visible difference. And some more export plugins, which may be why you associate it with webpages as it can export to Flash. And then of course Python.

thanx for precision... when i did read this "webpage" stuff, i thought i was dumb or mad because i could not see the relevance of this.
