Well, that should make everyone who was looking for a bulky type guy very happy. I hope the dog isn't far behind.

"I hope the dog isn't far behind." I fear he has eaten the dog. Remember the last newsletter image - there he started with the MilCat. ;-) Cool model, btw.

Berserga posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 7:32 AM
Frankly I'm glad they told cuz I had decided not to get M3 at all. But I think I'll get the M3 base upgrade just to get this guy. :D
Caly posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 7:55 AM
I want to know what the other surprise is... I'm not really into big hulks. :D

Hrms... a little "narrow" to be a TRUE Hulk... but definitely good for other "big guy" hero types, like Nuklon, the Executioner, Razorback (heheh, the superhero trucker with the mutant power to drive anything), Solomon Grundy (as someone else already noted), or the Rhino...
Remember, kids! Napalm is Nature's Toothpaste!

what I wanna know is will he have hulk feet to go with his hulk hands?
randym77 posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 9:26 AM
The newsletter said there would be another surprise next week. Didn't offer any clues as to what that would be.
Bobbie_Boucher posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 10:53 AM
The way they showed the mystery figure in the ad, he looked like Gorn, the giant.
PapaBlueMarlin posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 2:15 PM
randym77...another surprise, hmmm i doubt it will be either Stephanie or a MilKid
randym77 posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 2:35 PM
Their web site says it will be a "BIG surprise." So I suspect it's a prop or something for the Mystery Model.
mstrong posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 3:28 PM
Looks like Brock Lesnar of the WWE.
PapaBlueMarlin posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 4:17 PM
with all the talk about the hulk movie this summer, this figure isn't too surprising. quite interesting though and looks well done.

Why does all the M3 models have that weird space between the end of the bicep and the beginning of the forearm? I know there are bodybuilders that have their biceps end way back before the curve of the forearm but like in the picture of ONESHOT Mike 2 didn't had this shape and his musculature looked better. DAZ, this figure hasn't been released yet please correct it so it looks more like Michael 2. I also hope the picture shown is not the most muscular it can grow, it still falls short of a Hulk frame but yeah, nobody can say this one looks femenine. Any plans of releasing a M3 based on Michael 2 sculpted musculature taken to Hulk extremes?
Mitch1 posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 5:39 PM
Oh, and this mystery model makes it worth I spend my money on Michael 3, morphs & hires textures.

Ya know, I got to thinking about the Mystery Model. Any chance someone would come out with a Cyclops morph for that bad boy? He could make a cool one. Or a big ass troll. Trogladyte anyone? Or am I alone on this?

I forgot to point to the neck muscles too. Muscular guys have thicker muscles not the thin wire strands that M2 retains through his transformation from skinny regular M2 to muscular 3 setting. there seems to be some thickening done in the mystery model preview but it still falls short.

WHAT is happening in the underarms? Or should I be afraid to ask? In any case, both these models have major problems with the musculature, in the overall silhouette and in the details of how the muscles flow into each other. Body-builders don't just bulk up, they refine. I'm not seeing any refinement. Carolly

hauksdottir posted Mon, 06 October 2003 at 1:38 AM
It isn't supposed to be sexy. These guys are narcissistic: they are so into their own bodies that there isn't room for anybody else. As long as they can stare into a mirror and like what they see they are happy. If they fall short of "perfection", they will work even harder... and then go stare into a mirror again. Carolly

Some women find us muscular males sexy (trust me) and some dont its all personal preference and personality pleae dont presume to speak for all women as some ladies are not consumed by a raging hatred of a rugged masculine appearance
elektra posted Mon, 06 October 2003 at 10:45 AM
Rugged and masculine is one thing, but this guy is a bit overdone for my taste. Clint Eastwood is rugged and very masculine. He gives me a hot. This guy does not. It's not that I mind muscles, but for me, this guy is too ostentatious in that area. If you follow me.
