Hello. I want to import a model done in Electric Image Universe 4.0. Vue 4 Professional doesn't import .fact (that's universe's saved format), but Electric Image can save to other formats, such as .obj, or .3ds. Vue 4 Professional supports these files. My question is, is it possible to import that model with all the textures and animation into Vue 4 Professional?

Well, i don't think that EIU can export animations into other formals. And i think that Vue only can read animation files only from Poser. So there you must find the connection. Regarding textures. Simply try it out! It should be possible, depending what EIU is writing. I have several obj-files with all their textures coming with them when i import them into Vue. And i have Cinema 4D where it seems not possible. Vue is always complaining about 3ds-files from Cinema (old 3ds-format...). The simplest is, try it out. Export something from EIU in all possible formats and try to import those into Vue. And see the results. Better than any advice one can give you.

Actually there is a way I know of, you put it in Poser, save as a pz3 file, close poser import into vue, everything is there. Or you can save it as a wavefront .obj out of poser, import the object file back into vue making sure that the .mtl file is in the same folder as your .obj and it should be there with textures and all (also you texture maps) that is why it is easier to have you just import a pz3 everything is there. That is my way, now if you don't have Poser, I just don't know. Share
