I would like to place a bmp on a 2d pic object as a background for a scene. How do I stop it from tiling? Can it be backlit like a photo transparency? I would also like to know if Corel has been sold or did they just sell the rights to bryce? Thanks Mivan

Yes, it can be backlit, as for the rest...........

Yes, you can apply a bump map to a 2d plane. TO stop it from tiling..if it is a pic you should be able to set the scale to either 0 or 1 and the mapping to object cubic or object front and get it to work. If you want it to be photo-transparent you have to fiddle with the transparency setting.

If you are using a "backdrop", Mivan, you don't need to use an infinite plane. Use a 2D Square object instead. There will be no tiling unless you TELL it to tile. The image will stretch to match the dimensions of the square itself. Corel has nothing more to do with Bryce, they are ashes now, Mivan. Bryce will live or die, just like the rest of us...
