Attached Link: The Tarzan cast
Has anyone seen Travis Fimmel, the model turned actor who is in the newest reincarnation of *Tarzan* on the WB? From the photos I've seen, and the promos on the show, the guy looks like Mike 3 to me .... out of the box and Poser rendered. Have I just become completely absorbed into the Poser world where now virtual beings look more recognizable to me then real ones??? I fear for my sanity. I'll probably never actually watch the show...I just can't deal with Mitch Pileggi as the evil industrialist uncle when *X-Files* still lingers as a memory. But if anyone comes up with a look a like for Mr. Pileggi...I'll be there. ;)Little_Dragon posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 8:46 PM
As long as you don't start to truly believe he's made from the DAZ Unimesh ....
wolf359 posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 8:50 PM
No ,unlike M3, this actors eyes have some life in them they "pierce" the camera a little and looks like a man :-) but alas this new show will be utter garbage :-/
dialyn posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 8:51 PM
I wouldn't doubt it ... I still think Mike 3 was made from the unimesh of the Daz cube. :) Where does it end?
dialyn posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 8:58 PM
Maybe it doesn't. I see Vicky 3 in the cast too. I will run screaming from the screen now.

Shrug...not my type virtually or in reality (the feeling would be more than mutual, I know). Now Mitch Pileggi ... that's whole other story. He still looks like Mike 3 to me. :(
Cyhiraeth posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 10:25 PM
Okay, now I know the world has literally turned upside down....people choosing Mitch Pileggi over Travis Fimmel? I would be more bored with the overly cliche' "evil industrialist/CEO". I realize it is the "new face of bad guys" these days, but it just doesn't hold the same romance as, say, a mad scientist or pirates or perhaps a dark wizard...... :-)
dialyn posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 10:29 PM
I don't like Mitch Pileggi as the evil industrialist whatever...I like Mitch Pileggi as Mitch Pileggi. He's been a stage actor, done some fine work outside of television, and has some qualities I admire. Travis may be fine for you...allow me to have my own tastes in men. We don't all have to like the same men, do we? Or have we gotten that intolerant of diversity on this forum?
bknoh posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 10:34 PM
I saw a brief interview with Travis...he mentioned that he will be trying to appear shirtless and etc. as often as he can. What great acting aspirations! Diane

" No ,unlike this actor, M3's eyes have some life in them they "pierce" the camera a little and looks like a man :-)" ...oh c'mon...CNN does it all the time... Scarab...'whose eye are drawm like lodestones to the nearest and deepest female cleavage......'
dialyn posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 10:39 PM
Scarab....You'd like my mother, then. Her cleavage is to her knees these days...that's what gravity does to big breasts. Mr. Travis sounds as if he has aspirations to be Mike 3. I may be on to something.
Scarab posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 10:42 PM
" and M3 can't stare a hole through you like Travis can. " ...dude, have you ever gotten into a staring contest with Michael 3...?...Unless you animate him otherwise...you're gonna lose, dude.... Scarab...going to bed real soon....I promise....
dialyn posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 10:43 PM
P.S. that gravity business is very hard on the back....I know my mother would be the first to say she'd love to have less cleavage and fewer back pains. She's also 80. Still looking?
Scarab posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 10:44 PM
Dialyn, Well there's staring.....and then there's train wrecks...your mom sounds like the latter... S.
Scarab posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 10:49 PM
There must be a saint to whom we would pray for your mother...hoping you're Irish, as am I in part (we canonize our own saints, knowing the holy father will get to it eventually) .... Scarab

If his primary goal as an actor is to take his shirt off... he is in the wrong kind of film! ;^) Carolly

Actually, I thought M3 looked a bit like Tom Welling out of the box. MEOW 8)~~~~ Mitch is very hot too. MEOW 8)~~~~ I met him. He's like a big 'ol Manly Teddy Bear, you just want to hug him and squeeze him. And Travis, Calvin Klein Travis.... MEOW 8)~~~~ If M3 can look like Travis, Welling, or Mitch I will be meowing a lot. ;) bB

Don't worry ladies, I hear that WB plans on coming out with some mophs for him by next season. And some brand new skins too!
igohigh posted Sun, 05 October 2003 at 11:37 PM
Oh, and Jane will NOT be cast from the same mesh!

:.Scarab....You'd like my mother, then. Her cleavage is to her knees these days...that's what gravity does to big breasts.:: ot but... this is a myth. skin stretching causes breasts to sag... some womens skin is more prone to stretching than others. Big breasts will always sag some because of gravity but the degree of sag is genetic and caused by how much the skin stretches. Even small breasts sag, btw.
bijouchat posted Mon, 06 October 2003 at 1:59 AM
(and I possess a pair of big breasts so I should know lol. They don't cause me a lot of problems, really... except with men.) as for the rest... uh, I don't think M3 really looks like Travis out of the box. ... lololol about Conan O'Brian...
nornaddict posted Mon, 06 October 2003 at 2:11 AM
Has anyone thought to ask Daz who they used as the model for M3? I'd be interested to see the real person who gave his face to M3.
bijouchat posted Mon, 06 October 2003 at 2:27 AM
I think Vickie gave her face to M3 I'm afraid... lol
Dale B posted Mon, 06 October 2003 at 3:49 AM
Ohh? Is -that- what that ripping sound was?
Valandar posted Mon, 06 October 2003 at 7:39 AM
Dale, that was WRONG 8-P... bad enough M3's... "masculinity"... is detachable.
Remember, kids! Napalm is Nature's Toothpaste!
bijouchat posted Mon, 06 October 2003 at 7:58 AM
sure you mean well Drax but its kinda obvious that's Vickie's face, with a bit more work on the chin to masculine the face a bit more. Its not bad... M3 just looks like V3's brother is all. The family resemblence is unmistakable.

Sorry my last post didn't come out how I intended... was just mentioning that vicki's face was exactly taken directly and placed on M3... and yeah, bijou, you're right about that... it is indeed a Masculine version of the same basic facial shape... which is fine, IMO an androgenous base is much easier to work with and morph up, than to start with Dan Farr's face and morph down.
Caly posted Mon, 06 October 2003 at 8:49 AM
I wish M3 looked like Tom Welling. That Smallville show has SO much eyecandy... mew!! :D I recorded Tarzan last night, first episode, but I was too busy watching Taken to see it. I had missed Taken the first time around. What can I say, I like my Aliens... especially when they look like ADORABLE fuzzy squirrels, ahh the cuteness factor last night!!
