For when someone needs a flamethrower, but his back is already occupied by something else, is there such a thing in reality as a flamethrower with the tanks strapped to the gun? This link contains some CGI (= computer generated imaging) images of my idea of what such a thing may look like. Fuel capacity about 1.5 gallons. I have just put it in the freestuff. The mesh model is derived from my Poser model of a (real) M2A1-7 USA army flamethrower, which is already in the freestuff. In this new version I shrank the tanks to two-thirds the size each way, and rearranged the valves etc (but preserved what was connected to what) to fit in compactly. It would likely need strong arms to pick it up and aim it when it is full.rreynolds posted Thu, 09 October 2003 at 9:27 AM
I've likewise never heard of one, probably because the canisters on the gun would limit the amount of available fuel for the weapon. I haven't heard of flamethrowers being used in any conflicts since VietNam, so there's a chance they may now be prohibited weapons.
