Please extend this deadline ... it is much, much too soon. There are way too many unanswered questions. Why would a company launch a product with a special offer for current Vue customers, only to have it last a little less than ONE MONTH?? I can't understand this kind of RUSH-RUSH tactic ... you're shooting yourselves in the foot. Lynn, can't you talk some common sense into the powers-that-be? Sincerely, Tim

If you OWN Vue 4, this special upgrade price should be the standard price for a upgrade version to current owners. That is the way most software companies operate. I would like to buy Vue Pro, but not until I see the problems mentioned in these threads fixed with a Vue 4 Pro upgrade. Especially the graphic card compatability and opengl problems..

"If you OWN Vue 4, this special upgrade price should be the standard price for a upgrade version to current owners. That is the way most software companies operate." This is true. Adobe's upgrade prices last pretty much forever as far as I know. ALSO, when companies do run promotions like this, it's usually more than 29 days. I own a Canopus Storm Realtime Video editing card, and they just released some fantastic software called Edius. They had a drastically reduced intro price (and it wasn't even an upgrade/current customer price, ANYONE could get it!) and it lasted for 3.5 months! And this was considered very short by the editing community. Like I said, both barrells are pointing right at the foot. -Tim

The sidegrade pricing has, built into it, the ability to sidegrade to Vue 4 Professional from Vue d'Esprit so that you get full credit for your purchase of Vue d'Esprit. Its based on the full price of Vue 4 Professional. Vue 4 Professional has an introductory price of $499, which is scheduled to switch to its regular price of $599. That's where the $100 shift takes place. There is still a $200 difference between the upgrade price and the full price. Best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software

Ok, just to be clear, are you saying that after Oct. 15th, the SIDEGRADE price will STILL be $299? Or will it always be $200 less than whatever the current "Complete Product" price is ... meaning it will be $399 after 10/15/03. Thanks, Tim

Sorry, jot, but Lynn Fredricks was the first to mention the special pricing when he announced the release of Vue 4 Professional. You might want to check the archive here.

Doh

Same info should be here and there. $299 sidegrade/$499 full are introductory prices which end October 15. Then its $399/$599. Still a $200 difference between sidegrade and full. Best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software

tim: At least you'll be spared buying a $300 bug farm and while it might be $100 more later on, it might actually work...Maybe it's sour grapes, but after spending $300 and being forced back to Vue 4 to use until the bugs are stomped out, it kinda sucks.

Lynn: Just to be clear ... this pricing is valid ALL DAY tomorrow (Oct. 15), correct? In other words, the pricing does not jump up until 12:01am October 16 ... is this correct? Regards, Tim
