which says exporting 'whatever file format I chose' - the message seems to stay there after it's already exported. How long do I wait to see if it's finished? does it take a really long time? I have a mac but I just tried it on my husbands PC and the same thing happened. the message just seems to stay there in the bottom left hand corner even after it seems to already have exported. I feel I'm not making myself very clear but I'm hoping someone will understand this rambling question. Love esther

Do you get a progress bar as it's exporting or just the text and nothing to the right of it (the progress bar is missing)? Seems odd that this occurs on two different systems.

Sorry I should have mentioned. On the PC at least I saw a progress bar but it only took seconds to complete and the next message says "exportingOBJ.obj..."

That's odd. Well, you can be assured (I hope) that once the progress bar completes, the export is finished. Have you tried it with an object with a high polygon count to see if the progress bar is doing its thing properly? Once you move your mouse over a function or scene object, the status bar should be updated with information relevant to that and not stay on "exportingOBJ.obj...". Let me know if it goes away under that circumstance.

Yes, when I click on something, the message goes away but I was worrying that by doing that I was interrupting my export. Love esther

oh and I just tried putting it in poser and the texture is all stripy like an incomplete render. I think it wasn't actually finished yet. Love esther

Have you looked inside the OBJ file itself (it's only a text file with a different extension)? Also, would be great to see a screen capture of the Vue Pro screen during export. I'm not having any problems with exportation. Has Vue Pro installed the update yet?

Hi, well I only just got vue pro. You mean there's an update already? Goodness! Okay, I didn't open the object as a texture file, but I did import it into poser and it looked shocking. Nothing like in vue. Love esther

They released a "beta update" during last week. If you tell Vue Pro to update (File->Check For Update), it will do so (unless it's only for the Windows version). I know what you mean. I've only just received Pro Friday before last. My suggestion is to update Vue Pro and export a simple object (e.g.: sphere, cube) and see how it imports into Poser and back into Vue Pro as well. Try several formats. If none of this seems to create useful results, you may want to contact E-on tech support for a resolution. Before that, though, the only other suggestion would be a reinstall. I found that the install doesn't "finish" and leaves some files uncopied. My exports appear to be working correctly, so this isn't a general issue.

Version should be 4.50-02 Build 266001 if it updated.

That's tough to tell. There could be differences between Mac and Windows Build numbers. Have you tried export/import of a simple object and with what results?

yes, and the simple object looked okay, but didn't have any transparency info when I imported the object into poser. But the thing is I had to click on the vue screen because it still had that exporting message on the bottom left side, and that made the message go. But how do I know it was completely finished or I just didn't interrupt it? Why does that message stay after it's probably already exported? Also my exported more complex objects look dreadfull in poser and nothing like how they looked in vue. Love esther

If you're using OBJ format, it won't have any texturing info, only groups. 3DS should include texturing info, but not certain about transparency.
