I have download some charactors (cr2) files into my library, but I cannot seem to create figure from them. The program asks me to locate blMilWomLo.jpg file for instance, OR it asks for mayadollbasic! I don't have any Victoria 2 + 3 character files or Maya files, does this mean I have to get a complete update package for every figure / charactor I download? What is the minimum types of files needed in Poser 5 to make characters into pz3 files?

Things you download from the web for poser are very often character dependant, like if you download a skirt thatsays its for Vicky, you will most likey need to have V1, 2 or 3 Same thing goes for custom characters, they are only a cr2 file of a custom made character built from the original which you must own before. MayadollBasic is free by the way along with loads of stuff for her. You can get her here: http://www.3digitalcrafts.net/studiomaya/ She an original character, not built from Vicky. Hope that has helped -SimderZ- xXx

MayaDoll kicks ass! There is a new update for her at Studio Maya also. The very minimum of files you need to make a character are a cr2 in the characters folders and an obj in the goemetries folders. A CR2 file needs to find the obj file located somewhere in the geometries folders. If you don't have the original package, you will not have the obj file that the cr2 is looking for. Your cr2 is looking for a texture file that is missing because you don't have the entire base package.

the blMilWomLo is the object file for the Victoria Reduced Resolution figure, available at DAZ. Make sure you read the readme files. Most freebies state what model is needed to make them work.

Everything in Renderosity's Freestuff section is marked as either add-on or stand-alone. If it's a stand-alone, then that means you can use it by itself as-is, but if it says add-on then you have to make sure you have whatever figure it's an add-on for.
